We began underwriting policies in 2018 and now have over 1,000,000 policyholders.
What services do we provide?
Installers of Home Improvements at domestic properties are often required by law to provide a form of financial protection, such as an Insurance Backed Guarantee, which should be provided to consumers free of charge. These policies provide valuable protection in the event the installer ceases to trade and is unable to honour its contract. Installers may also choose to purchase these for their consumer to provide added peace of mind.
We do not sell any policies directly to consumers or installers and our policies are arranged through authorised Insurance Intermediaries, or several recognised Consumer Protection Organisations.

The Home Improvement Products we cover include:
Glazing
Doors, Windows, Conservatories, Orangeries, Roofline, any many more.
Insulation
Products including those covered under the governments Energy Companies Obligation (ECO), including Internal and External Walls, Cavity Walls, Loft, Room in Roof, Underfloor.
Renewable energy products
Solar Photovoltaics, Air Source Heat Pumps, Battery Storage, Electric Vehicle Charging Points and many more.
General Home Improvements
Boilers, Kitchens, Bathrooms, Bedrooms, Mobility Products and many more.

We work with UK authorised Insurance Intermediaries and several recognised Consumer Protection Organisations, including:
- Qualitymark Protection
- The Insurance Backed Guarantee Company
- The Double Glazing & Conservatory Quality Assurance Ombudsman Scheme (DGCOS)
- The Home Insulation & Energy Systems Quality Assured Contractors Scheme (HIES)

What is Deposit Protection Insurance?
Installers sometimes require consumers to pay a deposit before an installation commences. Deposit protection covers the duration of the policy, which is usually 90 or 120 days, in the event that the installer ceases to trade before the installation has either begun or has been completed.
What is an Insurance Backed Guarantee?
An Insurance Backed Guarantee (often referred to as an IBG) provides valuable protection once the installation and contract has been fully completed, in the event an installer ceases to trade and is unable to honour the terms of their written guarantee.
